Tonight I took one of my burglars, Chanile of Brandywine, into Moria, as myself and Emma quested together (with her Captin Willmatt). Jumping the gun a bit there! First of all I had to get my new legendary weapon to level 10, and slice a few watcher tentacles. Jumping the gun again - it was very funny going back to Rivendell to reforge the legendary weapon at level 10, as Emma got lost. Four years into the game and she still doesn't know her way around Imladris!
Anyway, fast forwarding to where I started waffling. After giving the Watcher in the Water a good slashing, I made those steps into Moria. Now I've taken a few characters in Moria (ummm I can't remember exactly how many but I'm thinking six of my Gilrain characters have been through Khazad-dum), but it is still a great sight when you walk through the doors of Durin and look up at those steps that lay ahead of you.
Well done Turbine, the revamp of Moria is much improved! The quests now flow really smoothly, following the model that they used for the Evendim revamp. The funny thing about Moria is that I am always excited to go in there, but also after a few weeks of questing am always eager to get back out again! So much so that it is rare for any of my characters to get as far as the Foundations of Stone. My Runekeeper Pashraen managed to stick it out, and did pretty much all the quests and deeds - very odd for an elf to be content under ground for so long!
Chanile also gratefully completed one of her legendary books whilst goblin slaying, and now has that really great Flashing Blade skill. I love the burglar legendary skills. Actually I love the burglar class full stop! On a 'what is the best class' poll for me it would be a close call between the burglar, the warden and the captain.
We both managed to 'ding' at level 51 and then headed back to Durins Threshold. That's enough underground capers for tonight!
