Well first of all, I must apologise for my absence over the last few days, as I try to write at least a few paragraphs every night. "Real life" has been a bit busy, what with playing gigs (great fun) and having to do lots of tidying and housework (not much fun). I've still played lots of LOTRO but I have burned out before getting to write the blog!
So, what have I been up to? Well it has been a pretty straight split between role-playing on Laurelin and leveling with my Captain Pashomir on Gilrain. Oh and the small matter of Pashbo's Journeys.
Starting first with the roleplaying, whenever I can I try and get down to the Green Dragon on a Friday night, usually treating Chumbly to a night out. I have mentioned many times what a great even this is, but I make no excuses for repeating myself: this IS a great event! Full of great characters, entertaining music and poems, and virtual ale (of course, it would be rude not to drink actual ale at the same time!). This time I offered for Chumbly to deliver a poem to the crowd. Now this is the funny bit, I'm a singer in a band and regularly perform infront of quite a few people with minimal or zero nerves. But the thought of Chumbly delivering his poem got me really shaking! But he did it - he let loose with my poem "Old Man Wuddle", which you may remember from an earlier episode of An Unexpected Vidcast. But just incase you didn't:

Meanwhile, over on Gilrain Pashomir has been busy. He achieved kindred status with the Men of Dunland before hot-footing it at Level 71 to Rohan. I absolutely love the quests in the Rohan expansion (not that I have finished them on any of my characters yet) - the story in the first village in particular is fantastic. This is the second character that I have tried out mounted combat with - I actually really like MC, and don't seem to have had the same lag issues that some people have had. I am absolutely rubbish at navigating tight spaces on it though - I think the people of Rohan should definitely build wider entrances to their villages! Anyway, he is now at level 74 - I am planning on taking him to Wildermore at some point, as I have yet to visit this region.
Finally, the Journeys of Pashbo have reached the end of the second week. The last few days have involved the trek across the Midgewater Marshes climaxing in reaching the camps at Weathertop. The highlights of Week Two are included in this week's An Unexpected Vidcast (Below) or you can watch this week's walk in its entirety (also below).
Night night.
